Street guide: Authentic Vesterbro vibes in Istedgade
The Vesterbro area’s main street, Istedgade, exudes diversity. Here you’ll find some of the city’s best boutiques, restaurants and bars.

For many years, Istedgade was considered Copenhagen's red light district, but today, the famous street has transformed into something else. Still, towards Copenhagen Central Station, you'll notice sex shops and strip bars, but you can easily steer around these to enjoy the rest of Istedgade. This list is far from comprehensive, so we suggest you go visit for yourself.

Mc.Kluud
Originally, the pub was called Mc. Cloud after the American TV series where the police officer Sam Mc. Cloud solves crime in true Western style in the streets of New York. But to avoid legal proceedings, the place was quickly renamed Mc. Kluud.

KAFFE
At KAFFE you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee and a delicious croissant in a cozy atmosphere. You will find this coffee shop on Istedgade on Vesterbro. Here you can meet up with friends and drink all sorts of coffee. In the morning you can order breakfast for DKK 50. You will get a cup of coffee, a croissant, and a bun with cheese. If you're in a hurry, you can get your coffee to go. Coffee and more KAFFE means coffee in Danish and the name might indicate that you can only get coffee here. However, that's not the case. KAFFE also offers tea, juice, and soda. Furniture in recycled woodKAFFE has furnished the entire coffee shop - including installations - with furniture made out of recycled wood.

Riccos, Istedgade
Ricco's is a coffee shop chain, characterized by an unpretentious decor, cozy atmosphere - and of course: good coffee. Riccos in Istedgade was the very first Riccos in Copenhagen, and despite its small size, surprisingly, it will fit a lot of people.
