Eiffel Bar

A visit to Eiffel Bar in Copenhagen is suggestive of Paris in the old days. The mirrors on the walls have cut glass Paris motifs and you can buy cigarettes and cheap beers at the bar counter.

But Eiffel Bar is a classic Danish pub with local regulars. Since 1737, the bar has supplied beer to the many thirsty sailors who frequented the Christianshavn area, and only recently have young students and businesspeople started to mix with the traditional guests.

The service is always friendly, and if you want to try something different from the usual Carlsberg or Tuborg beers, you can order a special brew at the bar counter.

Even if you don’t plan to go inside, it’s always worthwhile to pop by the bar to see the ever changing exhibitions by Julie Kyhl in the window.
