Places to see Copenhagen in its autumn coat

King's Garden
The King's Garden in Copenhagen - also called Rosenborg Garden - is a beautiful green area ideal for picnicking and sunbathing in the city center.

Vestre Cemetery
With its almost 54 hectares, Vestre Kirkegård in Copenhagen is one of the largest cemeteries in Scandinavia. Many locals use the cemetery for walks and relaxation.

Rosenborg Castle
This fine Renaissance-era castle in central Copenhagen holds the Danish Crown Jewels and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Built in the 1700s, it is popular today with visitors and locals alike.

The Botanical Garden
The 10-hectare Botanical Garden is part of the Parkmuseerne museum district and offers a beautiful green space to enjoy in the center of the city.

The Citadel
The Citadel in Copenhagen was founded by Danish King Christian 4 in 1626. You will find it on the border of inner Copenhagen and the area of Østerbro.

Frederiksberg Garden
For centuries, the Frederiksberg Gardens has been a favourite outing spot for Copenhageners. Many bring their picnic baskets for lunch and top off the day by visiting the Copenhagen Zoo in the northernmost end of the gardens.

The Deer Park
A short trip north from Copenhagen will take you to Dyrehaven, a wonderful woodland that seems far from city lights and traffic noise.

J.C. Jacobsens Garden is a beautiful and hidden oasis beside Dansehallerne and the developing city in Carlsberg.

Søndermarken
Between Valby and Frederiksberg you find Søndermarken – one of Copenhagen’s many parks offering space and beautiful nature.
