Bryggebroen bridge was the first bridge over the harbour in Copenhagen in 50 years. It connects Havneholmen to Islands Brygge and is part of Copenhagen's system of walking and biking paths.

Bryggebroen bridge was built in 2006 and is 190 metres long and 5.5 metres wide. You will find it right behind Fisketorvet shopping centre on Kalvebod Brygge and goes all the way to the other side near Gemini Residence on Islands Brygge.

In 2014 Bryggebroen bridge got an extention in the new cycle bridge Cykelslangen - the Bike Snake - snaking its way around the shopping centre from street level to the beginning of Bryggebroen.

Bryggebroen bridge is reserved for cyclists and pedestrians and provides a shortcut, especially for students at Copenhagen University Amager and the IT-University in Ørestad.

Possibility of passage

The bridge is a swing bridge, which can open for passing boats in Copenhagen harbour.
