Hop onboard a piece of world class maritime cultural history
No place in Denmark offers so many impressive cultural experiences connected to the sea as Helsingør,where the stories about the importance of the sea and seafaring then and now are told in several exciting places.
The Renaissance castle Kronborg was built on gold that came sailing through the Øresund. M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark is an architectural masterpiece built on the shoulders of the shipbuilding traditions of the past, which today lives on in the historic harbour of Helsingør with it's beautiful wooden ships. The shipyard museum tells the story of solidarity ship worker culture and industrial history. The Øresund aquarium completes the chain with games and learning about the sea. Everything is easy to find, close to each other and leaves its mark on Helsingør.
