"It's brilliant, it's Danish – and it's got knitwear!" - These are the words by Sam Wollaston in the The Guardian 7 January 2012. The Danish hit TV series Borgen is nicknamed after Christiansborg Palace, which houses the Danish parliament and is the main location in the series.  In the TV series politician Birgitte Nyborg unexpectedly becomes the first female prime minister of Denmark.

Like The Killing, Borgen has been broadcasted successfully on British BBC4. Borgen is a thriller as well and again with a female lead. It won the International award at the 2012 BAFTA Television Awards. Three seasons have been produced so far. Follow in the footsteps of Borgen and Birgitte Nyborg on a self-guided tour of Copenhagen.
