Just 20 km from the center of Copenhagen, you’ll find Værløse Golfklub, the perfect place if you want to play golf in scenic surroundings close to the city – it’s only a short S-train ride from the Central Station. Værløse Golfklub was founded in 1993 and has since grown to become the second-largest sports association in Furesø Municipality. Over the years, the golf course has only improved, while the old farmhouse, which today houses the Golf Café and clubrooms, has been beautifully preserved. The building features two large terraces that become the focal point of club life during the summer months.
The course, consisting of 18 holes, was originally designed by the Swedish golf course architect Jan Sederholm, who is known for his distinctive greens that made putting highly challenging. Between 2009 and 2014, the course was improved and updated, and the formerly tricky greens have become more forgiving, although they can still challenge even the most experienced golfers. Please note there is a handicap limit of 48 for guests, and 36 on weekends and public holidays between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Værløse Golfklub also has a driving range where everyone is welcome to practice for a fee.
