Treasure Hunts: Self-guided City Hunts
Discover Copenhagen in a whole new way with a self‑guided City Hunt – an adventurous city quest filled with puzzles, hidden stories, and surprising discoveries.

Through a self‑guided City Hunt, you’ll enjoy a unique blend of sightseeing, play and learning as you move through the streets of the capital at your own pace and without the use of phones, apps or screens. It’s a purely analogue experience where you and your team follow clues, solve creative challenges and discover both iconic landmarks and hidden gems.
City Hunt is created by local Copenhageners who are passionate about sharing the city’s culture and history in an engaging and entertaining way. With input from historians and experienced guides, you’ll gain fascinating insights into Danish culture, everyday life and historical events – all wrapped into a fun and challenging treasure hunt. The route begins at Tivoli and ends at Nyhavn, takes around two hours, and is perfect for friends, couples and families with teenagers.
You can play, pause, stop for a coffee or grab an ice cream whenever it suits you. All materials are available in Danish and English, and the experience is designed for 2–4 participants.
City Hunt is also part of the Copenhagen Card. If you have a Copenhagen Card, you can collect your City Hunt directly from Copenhagen Visitor Service and start your adventure at no extra cost.
Go exploring, solve clues – and experience Copenhagen like never before.
