STREJF - Restaurant and Bar
Here, historical surroundings meet modern Nordic food culture in an atmosphere characterised by tranquillity, aesthetics and presence. The restaurant is known for its uncompromising focus on seasonal ingredients, its warm service and a menu that balances the classic with the creative.
Restaurant Strejf is beautifully located on Helsingør's waterfront in the old Sundkroen. The building is historic, but the premises are modern and decorated with warm colours and natural materials. Large windows let in light and offer views of the Øresund, while an open fireplace and relaxed music contribute to a calm atmosphere.
The kitchen focuses on seasonal ingredients, preferably organic and local. For lunch, classic open sandwiches with a modern twist are served. The menu includes smoked salmon, homemade chicken salad and crispy fish fillet, arranged with care and balance. However, larger dishes are also available for lunch, including mussels and burgers. In the evening, the menu changes pace with dishes such as skin-fried hake, slow-cooked pork and vegetarian alternatives with depth and finesse.
Guests can choose between a set menu with three or four courses, the roast of the day or a seafood platter to share. The wine selection is carefully curated, and the staff are on hand to offer advice. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional, and the service is both attentive and friendly.
Restaurant Strejf also offers private functions. The premises can accommodate up to 70 guests, and there is the option of smaller, private dinners in a separate room with space for 14 people.
