The newest player in the Copenhagen Michelin scene lies in a old villa just north of Copenhagen.
In an old villa from 1891 in Hellerup lies the new restaurant The Samuel, which has managed to get a Michelin star in the famous Michelin guide of, after only four months of opening.
The man behind the restaurant, Jonathan Berntsen, is not estranged from Michelin stars. He got one for his now-closed restaurant Clou. It's, therefore, safe to say he knows what it takes to make Michelin-worthy food.
The food may seem simple at first glance, but the dishes are full of creativity and distinct natural flavours. The wine is almost most important, given just as much, if not more emphasis.
