Restaurant Alf
Restaurant Alf is located on Frederiksberg, welcoming you with an atmosphere that is both lively and calm. The walls are decorated with colorful art that winds its way through the room, while candles and wine bottles create a warm atmosphere where the aroma of seasonal dishes mingles with the vibe.
Behind Alf is chef Malte, who has worked in some of Europe's most renowned kitchens: Geist in Copenhagen, Septime in Paris, and David Toutain in Paris. In 2024, he opened his own passion project, Alf, a place with a clear vision and a personal story. The name is Malte's old nickname from elementary school, giving the restaurant a touch of down-to-earth charm.
When you sit down at the table, you quickly notice that Alf does not try to impress with grand gestures. Here, it is the details that speak for themselves. The kitchen plays with unusual flavor combinations while staying firmly grounded. The dishes are characterized by Nordic calmness and French vibrancy, inspired by Malte's time in Paris, where he fell in love with the city's energy and charm - an atmosphere he wanted to bring home to Copenhagen.
In the restaurant, you will also meet Jeppe Nørfelt, who is the restaurant manager and sommelier. Jeppe and Malte know each other from their time at Geist, and their shared passion for food and wine shines through clearly.
Restaurant Alf is a place where wine and food merge into an experience that lingers long after you have left the table.
