Pontes
Pontes is a small micro‑roastery and coffee bar in Valby, run by the Danish‑Californian couple Andreas and Brian. The place grew from a desire to build bridges between their two backgrounds - but also between people, places, and the many ways coffee can be understood and processed.

The name Pontes, meaning “bridges” in Portuguese, refers both to their own story, which began as a long‑distance relationship – but also and to the journey coffee takes - from small micro‑farms to the roastery and finally to the cup.
Everything at Pontes has been created from the ground, and the owners still work hands‑on behind both the roaster and the bar. The café was recently awarded Best New Opening in Denmark in Falstaff Magazine’s Coffee Guide 2026, presented at Nordic Coffee Fest.
Pontes operates first and foremost as a roastery, where all coffee is roasted on site – for example every Wednesday while the bar is open. The focus is on natural‑processed coffees from small producers, where traceability, relationships, and fair working conditions are central values. The coffee bar is entirely plant‑based, a conscious choice to reduce its footprint and integrate sustainability into ingredients, production, and pace.
Here, coffee is about craftsmanship and presence - and about presenting specialty coffee in an accessible, down‑to‑earth way for anyone passing through Valby.
