Axel Guldsmeden is located inside a beautiful turn-of-the-century building and is the biggest hotel by the Guldsmeden Hotel group known as sustainability frontrunners.
Axel quickly became a pet favorite of the sustainability oriented media and eco-conscious travelers who still want a certain level of comfort and quality, and was the first of the Guldsmeden Hotels to achieve the golden Ø and Green Globe certification. In general, Axel has become the place where Guldsmeden Hotels try out new ideas to incorporate in the rest of their hotels in Copenhagen and beyond.
The hotel houses 202 rooms, including four amazing penthouse suites with their own private rooftop terrace and hot tub.
