Stepping into A. C. Perch's Tearoom feels a bit like stepping into a time warp. There are over 100 different kinds of tea, scones, tea symphonies, a lovely atmosphere and really great staff who are always ready to guide you.
You might associate afternoon tea with the British upper class, but in Copenhagen you don't have to be rich or British to enjoy a pot of tea, finger sandwiches, scones and delicious little cakes. Inside A. C. Perch's Tea Room, located just above the famous tea shop, you can be pampered in the beautiful and very classic surroundings and enjoy a pot of tea.
There's a wide menu with over 100 different teas, cheese platters, cakes, scones and much more. The crowning glory is the tea symphony, which is an authentic afternoon tea experience where you get a little bit of everything. Especially the scones that come with it are absolutely delicious, more reminiscent of the British or Danish ones.
The surroundings are beautiful and tranquil, and although it's decorated for Christmas, it doesn't feel like a Christmassy experience. There's a high ceiling and tablecloth on the table and a tea station where the skilled staff will brew your tea to perfection. They can also guide you based on what your taste buds are craving, so you'll be treated to either a classic or more special tea. The best part is that after your visit to A.C. Perch's Tea Room, you can go down to the shop and buy the tea to take home, so you can also get a piece of luxury in your cup at home.
