Useful tips for cyclists

Copenhagen is a city full of keen cyclists, and it’s important to be aware of your fellow road users. Especially if you're new to a bike.

In addition to the official rules, our best advice is:

  • Avoid the early morning rush hour (7.00-9.00) and the late afternoon rush hour (15.00-17.00).
  • Avoid the larger streets and the inner city, where the bike lanes can be hectic.

Please see the rules and guidelines from the Danish Police and Danish Road Safety Council.
