Bar Sportif

Bar Sportif was created by the team behind Restaurant Møntergade and Apéro wine bar, who wanted to reinvent the familiar idea of a sports bar for a more discerning audience. Founders Simon Olesen, Rasmus Amdi Larsen and Karina Pedersen drew inspiration from the vibrant bar culture of New York, but grounded the concept in Copenhagen’s reputation for hospitality and design. Their vision was clear: to create a place where you can celebrate a big game without compromising on food and drink quality.

The two-floor space is lively without being rowdy, designed for comfort as much as spectacle. Green banquettes, polished wood and well-placed screens make the setting equally suited to a group of friends catching the Champions League as to couples sharing oysters and Champagne. Attention to detail in lighting and acoustics ensures that the atmosphere enhances the experience rather than overwhelms it.

Food at Bar Sportif balances casual classics with refined touches. The menu ranges from natural and Rockefeller oysters to buffalo wings, mortadella sandwiches with pistachio cream, and a meatball sandwich topped with stracciatella.
