Reffen - Copenhagen Street Food

Reffen is a street food market and cultural hotspot on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen. A vibrant and diverse urban oasis for everyone – where something is always happening, and the music never really stops.

The market came to life in 2018 on a dusty and neglected industrial site by the harbour, surrounded by worn-down workshops and old warehouses. Today, Reffen is the largest street food market in Northern Europe – and the go-to place for culture, concerts, and events throughout the season.
Reffen is a 12,000 m² waterfront oasis, where you can enjoy street food from across the globe while soaking up views of Copenhagen’s beautiful harbour. With around 35 food stalls, 10 bars, 4 creative workshops and an on-site brewery, the market offers everything from authentic flavours to innovative craftsmanship.

Each stall and workshop is run by independent entrepreneurs who share their passion with curious guests and adventurous taste buds.
Refshaleøen’s industrial past is still present at Reffen. The market is built primarily from repurposed shipping containers, giving it a raw, urban edge that fits seamlessly with its surroundings. Between the containers, Reffen’s own gardeners have created lush pockets of greenery, adding colour and life to the industrial landscape.

An old machine hall from the B&W shipyard has been transformed into Werkstatt – Reffen’s largest indoor area. This high-ceilinged space serves as a venue for concerts, exhibitions, club nights, flea markets and much more as well as a dining hall for Reffen’s many visitors. No matter the weather, people gather here to share experiences and community.
