Copenhagen/Berlin, (Adina) - Twelve years old and already the first make-over: Courtesy of the TFE Hotels, Adina Apartment Hotel Copenhagen is undergoing a large-scale modernisation programme and being fitted out to the current Adina standard in terms of technology and design. The plans have been finalised, the technical work has commenced and the final touches are being made to the prototype apartment. The renovation work in all areas of the hotel will begin in October and include the lobby, reception and restaurant, as well as the apartments, conference rooms, pool and fitness room. In total, the investment in the property will be approximately 3.7 million Euros.
Andrew Parr, TFE Hotels’ head designer and one of Australia’s leading architects, is overseeing the all-round refresh of the property. Parr stands for a sophisticated mix of clarity and unexpected accents with which each hotel blends individually adapted to suit its surroundings. The refurbishment will include the launch of a brand new Restaurant & Bar concept and Adina is excited to be working with London based design firm, B3 Designers, who specialise in Restaurant & Bar design.
Ben Lancken, Acting General Manager & Director of Learning & Operational Excellence for Adina in Europe says: “The project will truly position Adina Copenhagen as “Your Other Address” in Copenhagen and bring the property in line with the brand’s global positioning as the world’s leading Apartment Hotels. The team are putting the final touches on the project now to ensure works are delivered with minimal disruption to guests all whilst continuing to deliver Adina’s famous brand of Australian Hospitality.”
The big renovation will kick off on 13 October with work on the apartments. So that the operation of the hotel is disrupted as minimally as possible, two floors will be renovated at a time. In general, work will be carried out only between 9am and 5.30pm. The period 20 October until 2 November has been reserved for the renovation work on the pool and fitness room. The restaurant and bar will follow from 17 November to 7 December. During this period the restaurant will be closed for dinner and a local gourmet caterer will be providing breakfast for hotel guests delivered directly to the apartments. With the work on the lobby, reception and conference rooms, the modernisation will be completed at mid-February 2018. The completely renovated Adina Apartment Hotel Copenhagen will shine in a completely new light from 15 February 2018.
