In søren k’s kitchen, Nordic elegance is combined with a focus on sustainability
Søren k is situated just by the waterfront in one of Copenhagen's iconic buildings, The Black Diamond, which besides from the restaurant houses The Royal Danish Library. With is location among many centuries' literature, it seems only fitting that the restaurant is named after the world renowned Danish philosopher, Søren Kirkegaard. Just like the name, the menu is inspired by the North, and presents tasteful dished characterised by the Nordic kitchen's simplicity.
The kitchen is led by Lasse Bertelsen, former head chef at the popular Danish restaurant Manfreds. He has created a delicate menu primarily based on fish and vegetables with a focus on ecology, sustainability, fresh produce in season as well as simple preparations.
Søren k is located on the ground floor with access from The Black Diamond's impressive atrium. Here, you can enjoy a superb view of the harbour and many of Copenhagen's architectural pearls along with your meal.
