Frederikssund Viking Village

The Viking Village in Frederikssund gives you the opportunity to see a viking settlement and experience how the Vikings lived and worked.

The village is constructed historically accurate and consists of five pit houses that have been used as workshops and in some cases temporary housing.  

The pit houses are half buried houses with a low floor level and consists of wattle, which in some cases has been covered with clay.

The viking settlement also shows you a 25 meter long-house that has been used as permanent housing for the vikings.
