Øl & Brød is dedicated to serving the traditional Danish open sandwiches, the “smørrebrød”, with a modern touch: Using new ingredients and new techniques, while preserving the characteristic flavours of this national dish. The menu varies according to the season and is constantly adapted to the restaurant’s current beer selection.
Øl & Brød, which literally means "beer & bread", offers beer pairings to all dishes. Choose between 10 different pieces of smørrebrød for lunch, or between the 5 or 7-piece meal for dinner.
The restaurant also offers a large selection of Danish and foreign aquavit and schnapps to complete the Danish dining experience. As an alternative to the stronger drinks, you might choose an organic apple juice to accompany the dishes.
The kitchen is run by two young chefs from the restaurant Søllerød Kro, who won the silver medal in the 2013 Danish National Open Sandwich Championship.
