Ice Hockey World Championship 2018

World-class ice action in Royal Arena

In May 2018, Copenhagen’s multi-arena will be transformed into an ice skating rink, when the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship takes place in Denmark.

As one of the world’s biggest sports events, the Ice Hockey World Championship calls for a big bash, and with price levels that make it possible for hockey enthusiasts all over the world to take part, it surely will be. Day packages are available from as low as EUR 25, and there’ll be world-class fan zones for people to stock up on food, be entertained and just enjoy the atmosphere throughout the championship.

The Ice Hockey World Championship is one of the first sports events ever to take place in Royal Arena following the European Short Course Swimming Championship in December 2017. The impressive multi-arena can be scaled up and down to fit almost any purpose – in this case the ice skating rink! The final, both semi-finals and 31 other hockey games will be played in the arena, which seats 12,500 spectators. The remaining 30 matches will take place in Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning.

Ice hockey is a fast-paced, entertaining sport and a great live experience, where you can really feel the intensity in the arena. Tickets for the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship is on sale at 2018.iihfworlds.com, so make sure to secure your ticket for one of the most action-packed sport events ever hosted in Copenhagen.
