Copenhagen by foot

Walking is a great way to experience the city, especially since inner Copenhagen is compact in size. This means that most of the main sights and attractions can actually be reached by foot.

NattevægterneJoin the old night watchmen on their rounds

You can recognise them right away. They are dressed in an old uniform with a lamp in one hand and a spiked mace in the other. Join them on their walk through the old streets of central Copenhagen, where they will tell you about the buildings, the people who lived there and perhaps sing examples of the old songs which were heard in the night in central Copenhagen in the 1800's.

History Tours

Every tour focuses on a specific historic period. During the walks you will be taken through the life of the city as it was during that time. You will hear the stories of the city's appearance, its people, the places and how they played a part in history. The tours start from the statue of Absalon at Højbro Plads and last 75 minutes.
