Boat trip to Hven

Relaxing day trip
Starting in the beginning of May and lasting through summer, day trips leave every morning from Havnegade by No 39.  After about one and a half hours sailing you arrive at Bäckviken the main town on Hven. After about five hours the boat returns from Bäckviken to Copenhagen.  Please note that beforehand booking by telephone: +45 33 33 93 55 is required.

Many possibilities
Hven offers numerous possibilities for activities, teambuilding, good food and hut rental or other kinds of accomodation. Many artists have settled on the island finding peace and calm and the opportunity to sell their products directly from their workshops.

Tycho Brahe
Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe was given the island as a fief from the King in the 1500's and to-day the Allehelgonakirken, a former church, has been transformed into a museum with details on the astronomer's life and work. You can also visit the Renaissance garden by the museum and Tycho Brahe's underground observatory "Stjerneborg".

Relaxation
Other options are a tour of the island by tractor, by horse drawn carriage or you can rent a bike and go exploring on your own. There are beaches and, weather allowing, chances for a swim.
