Angling

Kattegat, Øresund, Roskilde Fjord and the many lakes in the region offer plenty of opportunities for angling. If you practise shore fishing, you can be lucky enough to hook flounder, dab or plaice. By the open sea, or along Roskilde Fjord, you can catch loads of delicious mackerel, herring, cod and sea trout. 

Tour boats sail from Helsingør, Hundested, Rungsted, Vedbæk and Skovshoved Havn, and you can usually hire all the necessary equipment on board.  

In lakes like Esrum Sø, Furesø and Farum Sø, you will find pike, perch, zander and lake trout. Surrounded by woodland and fields, the angling experience here is quite different. 

There is also a number of put-and-take lakes in the region, near for example Roskilde, Slangerup, Lynge and Nivå.
