ThorvaldsensClassic Renaissance paintings or pompous Baroque sculptures are not typically Danish.

As far as art is concerned, Denmark was a late bloomer, and consequently we had our Golden Age in the 19th century. This period, however, has given a boost to the world of art with people like the sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen.
