Foreign films are seldom dubbed
You will not get your favourite film star speaking German or Spanish, when they open their mouth on the screen in an American or French film. In Denmark only films specifically aimed at a child audience will ocasionally be dubbed with Danish voices. You can therefore enjoy all films in their original languages. In Denmark films will have Danish subtitles instead.
Danish film industry
In the last two decades there has been a very positive development in the Danish film industry - to some, names like, Susanne Bier, Lars von Trier, Thomas Vinterberg and Bille August ring a bell. They are all Danish film directors of some fame.
