Paludan Café
Paludan bogcafeIn the heart of the old city, close to the University and the Cathedral, neighbouring Holberg's Home and just accross from the University Library, you find a café, second hand book store and a modern book store all in one.
With subdued classical music or jazz in the background, you can browse through the latest books while having your breakfast, a sandwich, a delicious sweet or some Valrhona hot chocolate.

Chester's Book Café 
A certain warm and welcoming atmosphere is eminent when you step into the universe of books, coffee and cakes at Chester's Book Café in the district of Christianshavn.  Here you are free to leaf through the books, before purchasing them, and most customers come again and again. The staff is extremely competent and knowledgeable when it comes to litterature and the bar tempts you with coffee
and fresh baked cakes.

Bayswater Books'N'Coffee
On Strandvejen in the northern outskirts of the district of Østerbro, you can wallow in lifestyle, the core of Bayswater Books'n'Coffee is your heart's content regarding lifestyle books, garden books, cookbooks, do-it-yourself books etc. - Danish books as well as books in other languages.  It is the owner's passion for home and garden, which inpsired her to open this place.  The café is inspired by an English Tea Parlour, offering scones, lemoncurd, chocolate, coffee, tea and much more.

The French Book Café  
In Fiolstræde there is a small French café and bookstore, where you can get warm with a cup of Chocolat Chaud and have a croissant while reading Balzac or leaf through the day's edition of Liberation.  If you want to smoke a Gauloise, you will have to go outside.  In the café 60 percent of the guests are Danish and the rest come from French speaking countries.
Cécila Black has been strongly inspired by Paris, where she grew up.  She missed the relaxed atmosphere and room for absorption in the Danish cafés, and with genuine French interior decor and only French litterature she has succeeded in creating an oasis for Frenchmen and frankofile Copenhageners.

Rayuela
South American books and delicatessen in the district of Nørrebro.  Book Café with books in Spanish, coffee bar and deli, where you can purchase Spanish and Latinamerikan delicatessen.  You can also have maté, brewed on dryed leaves from the yerba maté and because of its contents of coffein as stimulating as coffee.  At 'Rayuela' it is served with a taste of lemon or orange or sweetened with sugar.
