Gourmandiet
During the summer of 2007 Gourmandiet opened a delicatessen and butcher's shop in a former butcher's in the district of Østerbro. They specialise in organic meat and delicatessen. You can purchase tasty take away dishes and desserts, or eat them in the MadBar (i.e. food bar) in the back of the shop. All meat at Gourmandiet comes from organic farms, and the owners make a point of offering quality, respecting animal welfare, ethics and good taste in all the ingredients.

Løgismose
Another appetising delicatessen, with a well stocked assortment of wines, cheeses, ice creams and ready made dishes, is Løgismose. The two Copenhagen shops do not claim to be 100 percent organic, but the quality and fine, fresh goods are given pride of place. In March 2007 the chain opened a new shop in Willemoesgade in the district of Østerbro, where delicate, ready made gourmet dishes are sold. The family-owned business, Løgismose, is behind the exclusive chocolate 'Summerbird', (mentioned on Wallpaper's 'Hotel chocolate' list), and this chocolate is, naturally, sold in the shop. In 2008 Løgismose is responsible for the grand project of 'Brasserie N' boardering famous Tivoli Gardens. This will be a gigantic delicatessen emporium consisting of its own dairy, bakery, chocolate production, gourmet restaurant and an all suite luxury hotel with 13 rooms.

Meyers Deli
Claus Meyer, Danish TV chef and food enthusiast, opened Meyers Deli in 2005. This is a combination of an unpretentious eating place, delicatessen, coffee bar and take away. The concept is not 100 percent organic, but quality and good, pure ingredients are a must. Until 11:00 (10:00 on weekends) you can buy a complete breakfast with bread, cheese, sausages and homemade marmelades at a reasonable price. The two shops have their own bakery and offer a wide range of rustic, double-rised bread and homemade cookies.
