Metro tunnelThe Copenhagen Metro is nothing less than the world's best Metro! It was awarded with the prize for best Metro on the international MetroRail 2010 conference in London.

Take the Metro - 15 minutes to city centre

The Copenhagen Metro runs between Copenhagen airport and the city centre. It takes 15 minutes to get from the airport to Kongens Nytorv in the heart of the city, but of course you can also get off at a number of other stations, like Christianshavn and Nørreport or continue all the way to the final stop, Vanløse.

The driverless Metro trains operates at four - six minutes' intervals during the day and evening hours and every 15 - 20 minutes during the night.

Between Christianshavn and Vanløse the intervals during rush hour are only two minutes.

Between 01:00 - 01:30 and 04:00 -04:30 you will have to wait a little longer, as the trains switch from nighttime to daytime operation and vice versa.

The City Ring

The next extension of Copenhagen's Metro, the City Ring, will feature 17 stations and link the "Bridge Quarters" of the city with the city centre via an underground tunnel ring. The City Ring will be completed in 2018.
