Ferries

Copenhagen is linked to Norway and to Poland by direct ferry boat connections.  Danish Seaways have a daily route from Copenhagen to Oslo, duration:  16 hours and Polferries sail to Swinoujscie from Copenhagen four times a week, duration approximately 12 hours.

At the southernmost tip of the Islands of Falster on the E47 leading down through Europe, there is a ferry boat connection at Rødby to Puttgarten in Northern Germany and from Gedser to Rostock, likewise in Norther Germany. Both routes are run by Scandlines.

Bridges

Denmark's only two toll bridges have been inaugurated in later years.  One links the islands of Funen and Sealand - in Danish called 'Storebælt' (the Big Belt) and the other linking Copenhagen with Malmö in Sweden - in Danish called 'Øresundsbroen' i.e. the bridge accross the Sound.

Roads

You will find that the Danish infrastructure is in good condition, roads are well kept, there is an adequate net of motor roads and signs are easy to follow.  Speed limits in towns are in general 50 kms per hour - on highways 80 kms per hour and on the motorways 110 - 130 kms per hour.  Signs will tell you what-where.
