Copenhagen welcomes two all gay cruises
2,000 cruise passengers will turn Copenhagen on its head, when the city's first all gay cruise departs from Copenhagen harbour on July 14. Prior to the ship's departure passengers will enjoy a three-night stay in the charming, gay-friendly Danish capital. On July 4 another all gay cruise with 226 passengers arrives in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen to host World Outgames 2009
Copenhagen will host the World Outgames from July 25 to August 1. The World Outgames is a sports, cultural and human rights event primarily for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals. It will be the largest international sports and cultural event ever held on Danish soil, with 8,000 people from all corners of the world expected to participate.

Copenhagen Mermates to Host International Swim Meet in June 2007
As a warm-up for the Outgames 2009, Copenhagen Mermates welcomes all swimmers to a fun-packed weekend of swimming, cultural and social events. From June 22nd - 24th 2007 Copenhagen Mermates will host - for the third time - cph*2007 International Swim Meet. The first one took place in 2002 and gathered 150 swimmers from all over Europe. The second swim meet was held in 2003 as a part of Eurogames Copenhagen. This event welcomed over 400 swimmers.

Gay Copenhagen
Copenhagen has long been a tolerant and relaxed capital for both gay Danes and tourists.The National Association for Gays and Lesbians (LBL) was founded in 1948 as the first of its kind and in 1989, Denmark was the first country in the world to recognise marriage between two persons of the same sex.
