Multi cultural Nørrebro is a must for 'fashionitas'

Nørrebrogade is the main street leading through the Nørrebro district. Here you clearly feel that you are in the most multi cultural part of Copenhagen with Middle East green grocers and sharwarma bars side-by-side. If you are looking for colourful, exotic shopping and cafés, the side streets leading off Nørrebrogade is where to go.  The four most popular streets have lots to offer the design freaks and 'fashionitas'

Elmegade
This small street winds its way from busy Nørrebrogade to the buzzing café world of Sankt Hans Torv (square). Here are small boutiques full of creative ideas in clothing with cut and design you won't find just anywhere. Elmegade is definitely a must for shoppers. Apart from the special clothing shops there are a number of delis, sushi- and delicious coffee bars to make your mouth water.

Guldbergsgade
At the far end of Elmegade by Sankt Hans Torv, you find Guldbergsgade. In the later years this small street has benefited from the development in Elmegade and attracted a number of fine design and jewellery boutiques. If you need a break from your shopping, find a table at one of the cafés on Sankt Hans Torv or take in a movie at the popular Empire Bio (cinema).

Ravnsborggade
Ravnsborggade is a stone's throw from Sankt Hans Torv. The street is best known for is many antique dealers - here are all kinds of antiques, from 50's design to French refectory tables. Lately a number of smart fashion boutiques have intermingled with the many antique dealers. The street runs parallel to the Lakes, so a light lunch in one of the restaurants overlooking the Lakes, would be a good idea.

Nansensgade
On the other side of the Lakes lies Nansensgade within easy walking distance from the Nørreport Station, a street full of atmosphere. It has become a favourite street for the trendy Copenhageners. Good little boutiques have opened here as well as fine wine shops and sushi bars.
