Department stores & shopping malls

If you wish to extend the shopping hours, the department stores are normally open later than most other shops. 

In the centre of the city

Here you will find two impressive department stores, ILLUM and Magasin du Nord. ILLUM is situated halfway down Strøget at Amagertorv. It has a spectacular interior and a marvellous glass dome. Magasin du Nord is situated opposite the Royal Theatre.

Fisketorvet Shopping Centre

Fisketorvet is Copenhagen's first major shopping mall, located beside the harbour on the outskirts of the city centre. Here are shops and restaurants galore, and it even has a multiplex cinema. The mall opened in October 2000.

Frederiksberg Centret

Situated in the Copenhagen area called Frederiksberg, approximately 10 minutes by bus from the City Hall Square. It is a traditional mall with a variety of shops iwith clothing, shoes and other accessories.

Field's

At 115.000 sq.mtrs. you find three floors. At two of them 150 shops, and the top floor is reserved for 17 restaurants, cafés, a fitness-center and an area for children called Capella Play.

Waterfront Shopping in Hellerup

100 meters from Strandvejen in the former Tuborg Harbour, where a new yachting harbour is under construction, is the new Waterfront Shopping. The mall offers 8,000 sq.mtrs. of shopping with a blend of trendy shops and convenience stores in interesting surroundings with bar, cafes, playground, fitness centre and a unique canal environment. You get there by car, bus, train - or boat.
