Frederiksberg is a city within the city with tree-lined boulevards, quiet residencial areas and theatres, but Frederiksberg has splendid shopping possibilities as well.
Gammel Kongevej
A stroll on Frederiksberg's stately Gammel Kongevej offers shopping temptations such as design, interior decorating, children's clothing and jewellery. Take your time, it is worth it.
Værnedamsvej
Værnedamsvej is a side street to Gammel Kongevej and could aspire to being Copenhagen's little France. Delicatessen shops lie side-by-side offering a great variety of cheeses, sausages, vegetables and other tasty specialties. Lately small fashion boutiques have established themselves in between the food shops.
If you hear French spoken, it is because the French School is situated on Værnedamsvej. And if the French atmosphere appeals to you, you should have your lunch at Café Viggo, number 15.
Just as in France, the menu comes to your table in the form of a small black slate written with white chalk. The place its known for its atmosphere, which reminds you of a French bistro.
Frederiksberg Centret
Situated above Frederiksberg Metro station is a traditional shopping centre with a variety of 65 shops with clothing, shoes and other accessories.
