The legacy of superstar designers like Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner and Poul Henningsen, as well as household names like Bang and Olufsen and Rosendahl, means that Copenhagen is now synonymous with the best in decorative arts, industrial design and interior style. And the next generation of designers is already taking the world by storm, thanks to the attention of the style 'bible' Wallpaper Magazine and similar publications.

Collectors of antiques will also find plenty to interest them here. Streets such as Bredgade and Ravnsborggade are packed with antique and bric-a-brac dealers, selling everything from old master paintings to kitsch 1950's collectables.
