The Laudrup Brothers

Brian Laudrup These two brothers are among Denmark's most talented football players through time. Michael was born in 1964 and Brian in 1969. They both started their careers in the Danish club Brøndby, where Michael Laudrup is now manager.

Michael Laudrup has played in several European clubs: SS Lazio, Juventus FC for four years, FC Barcelona from 1989-94, Real Madrid and Ajax Amsterdam. Brian Laudrup has played for Bayern Munich, the Italian clubs Fiorentina and AC Milan, four years in Glasgow Rangers, as well as Chelsea and Ajax for some seasons.

The two former professionals have won many Championships with their different teams, and Brian Laudrup won the European Championship in 1992 when Denmark beat Germany in the finals.

Other Danish athletes are: 800m world record holder Wilson Kipketer; Tom Christensen, Le Mans winner a total of seven times; golf player Thomas Bjørn; Tour de France-winner and CSC manager Bjarne Riis; Morten Andersen in the NFL; sailing sport with Jesper Bank; shot putter Joachim B.
