Vestegnen covers the seven municipalities of Albertslund, Brøndby, Glostrup, Hvidovre Høje Taastrup, Ishøj and Vallensbæk, and together they offer a wealth of beautiful countryside and great leisure and familiy activities.

The area's own beach park along Køge Bugt (Bay) is a man-made beach and nature area. The unique recreation area has seven kilometres of fine beaches with dunes, hollows and lakes.

The beach park also lies on the migration path of many birds, so it is an oasis for bird-watchers.

ARKEN Museum of Modern Art south of Copenhagen shows exhibitions with the greatest, Modernist and contemporary artists.

The Circus Museum near Copenhagen is a fun museum for children to visit.

In a former incinerator plant near the Albertslund S-train station this music venue has more than 100 concerts a year.

Local upcoming bands and established Danish names play here and benefit from one of the best light and sound equipments in the country.

Kroppedal Museum in Taastrup outside Copenhagen has a permanent exhibition on Danish astronomy and special exhibitions on archaeology, modern history and astronomy.

Open-air stage with an annual opera performance in August.

The Danish Bicycle Union works toward improving and promoting bicycle sport in Denmark. They monitor and regulate the bicycle sport, to ensure that national and international laws of the cycling world are adhered to.
