Baths and beaches

In Copenhagen you are never far from a beach and during summer you can also go for a swim in the pools of the centrally located harbours.

Amager Strandpark offers 4.6 kilometers of white sand beach where you can rent kayaks, get a massage on the beach or have a picnic with friends.

Islands Brygge Harbour pool is located close to Langebro Bridge. There are five basins - two of these are for children.

At Copencabana in the district of Vesterbro three basins cover approximately 650 square meters. There is a children's pool, a diving pool and an ordinary pool for exercising.

Just five kilometers from the centre of Copenhagen you find the new city beach with enough space for all kinds of beach life.

The beach area consists of an artificial island just off the coast, forming a lagoon with toddlers' pools and a 1,000-metre long rowing and swimming lane.

Amager Helgoland is a bathhouse, which is located at the Northern end of Amager Beach.

It is open during the summer, but is also open for winter swimmers during the winter.

Bavnehøj open-air swimming pool is located between Vesterbro and Kongens Enghave.

The open-air swimming pool was renovated and opened in 2010 in a more child-friendly version.

The swimming stadium in Copenhagen appears as a beautiful modern building where the suspended roof sits in state over the asphalt jungle.

Bellevue Beach, about 10 kilometres from Copenhagen City, is a 700 meters long and has both lifeguards and freshwater showers on the beach.

The beach is just off the picturesque fishing village, Tårbæk, and right next to Strandvejen at the Arne Jacobsen-designed Bellevue Theatre.

Copenhagen Cable Park is an overlooked gem for those who love open air activities and water sports.

Copenhagen Cable Park also has a café and three sun terraces, all with ocean views and with access to sand.

Copenhagen Harbour include both Nordhavnen - North Harbour, Sydhavnen - South Harbour and Inderhavnen - Inner Harbour.

At the port areas you will find everything from yachts to harbour baths to top attractions, and year round the areas host various events.

Halvandet is a beach bar close to the city centre complete with beach furniture and stunning cityscape views.

Play volley ball, basket, football, petanque, mini golf, or kayak polo.

Enjoy a refreshing swim right in the middle of town.

The open-air swimming pool Fisketorvet has 3 separate pools: a children's pool, a diving pool, and swimming pool.

Open air swimming right in the centre of the city. Meet local families with children, beach boys and regular swimmers alike.

On hot days, Copenhageners swim with the city's spires in free view. During the week, many locals pass the pool for a quick dip on their way home from work. During the winter, locals enjoy the saunas.

Harbour bath Sluseholmen opened in the summer of 2012 and was designed by Kasper Danielsen Architects.

The harbour bath has four pool and a gangway which connects it with land.

Have a great dip at the Kastrup Sea Baths.

Facilities include changing rooms with showers and lockers. For those interested in taking the plunge, there are 3 as well as 5-meter diving boards on the platform.

Copenhagen has opend its third harbour bath, Koralbadet. 

It is built on pontoons and shaped like a lagoon.

In June 2010 Østerbro got the new beach, Svanemøllestranden.

The beach has a 130 meter long pier into the water.

Sun, sand, sweaty beats and drinks during the weekend and pop-up parties and fun happenings during the week. Urban Beach is located in the old Carlsberg area in Copenhagen.
