08 Jul 2012See you next year, Roskildeeeee……
Roskilde Festival 2012 Going home
Roskilde Festival 2012 draws to a close. What a week! Absolutely amazing. It has been a week full of love, happiness, surprising music, great food, beer and not to forget Bruce ‘The Boss’ Springsteen. So many memories, so many impressions. Today, we met some of the festival-goers and asked them about their best memory of Roskilde Festival 2012.
08 Jul 2012Bruce Springsteen made Roskilde Festival history
Bruce Springsteen at Roskilde Festival 2012
I queued for 10 hours in front of Orange Stage at Roskilde Festival to get in front row to experience Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band up close. One third of this year’s music budget is what Roskilde Festival had paid to get them to come. And last night they put on a show that will go down in Roskilde Festival’s 42-year-old history. For three long and magical hours the night belonged to Bruce, to me and to the thousands of people behind me.
07 Jul 2012Waiting in line for The Boss
Jeppe Pousette Lund
There are very few artists I will queue 10 hours to see from first row. He’s one of them. Tonight he will put on a show, that Danish music reviewer Steffen Jungersen predicts could be the greatest concert in the 42-year-old history of Roskilde Festival. I waited number 34 in line all day with some other die-hard Bruce Springsteen fans and some young spontaneous festival-goers to see America’s working class hero up front. Meet 16-year-old Jeppe and 48-year-old Knud.
07 Jul 2012Dream on
Roskilde Festival
Today we went to check out the Dream City: This year’s new project, giving guests the opportunity to add their own touch to the festival. Creative souls have built 'a city', based on their dreams and imagination - and that is, as it turns out, pretty vivid.
06 Jul 2012Roskilde, what's eating you?
Ski Burger at Roskilde Festival
Food at Roskilde Festival used to be all about one kind of big burger for four days (or more). Food was consumed just to keep your stomach full. Today culinary experiences are an important part of the music event and you'll get innovative dishes and food events every day. But the real festival classics, such as old school burgers and spaghetti bolognese is also still available.

Roskilde Festival 2012 Gate 6 opens
The time is now! This is what we’ve all been waiting for: The legendary gate 6 opens to the music area at the Roskilde Festival.
04 Jul 2012The music reviewer: Concerts you shouldn't miss at Roskilde Festival
Steffen Jungersen
"I think that there’s a real chance for the Bruce Springsteen concert to be the biggest one in the history of Roskilde Festival." The Danish newspaper BT's rock reviewer Steffen Jungersen has attended Roskilde Festival for 28 years. We’ve asked the music expert and Roskilde Festival veteran to recommend concerts at this year’s festival and have asked him which concert he’s most excited about this year.
03 Jul 2012Open Borders - include the asylum seekers
Open Borders by night
Imagine if it was you - left on the side of the border, where you are not let in. On the wrong side of the fence. Left in isolation.
