Wonderful Copenhagen wins prestigious film award

Wonderful Copenhagen Film and News Production has just received a distinguished award for the branding film "Anyone can be a Copenhagener" at the ITB tourism fair in Berlin.

Copenhagen has struck gold again. This afternoon Wonderful Copenhagen Film and News Production received "The Golden City Gate" award for a first place in the category "City Tourism".

The film, "Anyone can be a Copenhagener", was produced in September 2008 in connection with the establishment of a new brand for Copenhagen - a project managed by Wonderful Copenhagen and Copenhagen Capacity.

- We are very proud that experts from all around the world have given our film about Copenhagen their recognition. ITB is the world's largest tourism fair and the award characterizes the high standard of our Film and News Production team, says Ole Andersen, Senior Director at Wonderful Copenhagen.

Copenhagen has it all

Wonderful Copenhagen Film and News Production consists of a team of young creative producers Tobias Roed Jensen and Palle Demant, who are also behind the award winning film. The intention of "Anyone can be a Copenhagener" is to show the versatility and the many possibilities that Copenhagen has to offer. To show, that Copenhagen is open for everyone.

- You get ‘both and' in Copenhagen. The city has room for business and pleasure, seriousness and fun, career and family life. The intention of the film is to touch people and show, that there is room for everyone, regardless of age, title, ethnicity, sexual orientation or similar - everyone is welcome; everyone can be a Copenhagener, says Sanne Olsen, Production Leader at Wonderful Copenhagen.

Film and News Production has launched an array of reports and news items about Copenhagen this year, among others for the web TV channel on Visitcopenhagen's website. Furthermore the department produces films for customers like SAS and Sport Event Denmark.
