Tivoli - Summer 2008

The summer season 2008 at Tivoli begins 17 April and will be all about one of man's first and foremost pleasures; food! Of course you will be able to garnish with the regular and much-loved Tivoli pleasures, the music, the rides, and the scenery, not to mention the company of lots of happy Tivoli guests
.

For the first time ever it will be possible to spend a night in Tivoli when the Nimb Hotel Tivoli opens it doors 1 May 2008. The building, which is a Tivoli icon, from 1909 will reopen with a gourmet restaurant, brasserie, social and conference facilities, a wine cellar and a delicatessen with its own dairy, kitchen and chocolate production, where you can buy and take home.

Family fun in the Frigate
The Tivoli Lake is home to the impressive frigate Sct. Georg III. From 2008 this mighty vessel will hold a family restaurant, finally allowing children visiting Tivoli to be pretend pirates to the full extent - in the former up-market restaurant the little pirates were only welcome if quiet and on their best behaviour.

Gardens and rides
Not often do you find twenty-odd rides and loads of shooting galleries, wheels-of-fortune etc. in a setting of big trees and thousands of flowers. But at Tivoli you do, and it is well worth taking the time to sit in the gardens with an ice cream cone, maybe regaining your strength after riding the 1914 wooden roller coaster (one of the world's oldest) or the 80 metres tall Starflyer. Many buildings in Tivoli are of considerable age and their charming and exotic designs are striking. And do stay on until the lights go on at dusk; it is then, that Tivoli turns truly magical.
