Roskilde Festival is ready for 2008

181 names. From Western stadiums to African provinces. Buckle up and get ready for a musical rollercoaster ride. This year's Roskilde Festival, which takes place from
3 - 6 July, presents variation and scope like none other Western music festival.

The legendary Roskilde Festival is getting ready to party for the 38th time. This year's programme presents 181 names of performing artists, among others Jay-Z, Radiohead, Neil Young, Slayer, The Chemical Brothers, Judas Priest, Gnarls Barkley, The Streets, The Raveonettes, M.I.A., My Bloody Valentine and The Cult.

Warm up with thousands of other festival-goers

During the warm-up period from 29 June - 2 July, the audience are at the centre of things when the camping area transforms into a vibrating city, rich on events and activities for and together with the festival-goers. They can spend some hours in the dark of Roskilde's own cinema, go for a swim in Roskilde's swimming lake and test their courage and skills at Roskilde's skating ramps or brand-new ice skating rink, made of solid plastic. Of course, the warm-up days also offer lots of music: Nordic upcoming acts play at the Pavilion Junior stage.

Tickets on sale now

The official festival days begin 3 July and offer a range of music and non-music activities. Vigorous rock riffs, sexual energy and slops in the beer mugs are inextricably linked with any Roskilde Festival. Tickets can be purchased through the online ticket office. 75,000 tickets are for sale, and the ticket price starts at DKK 1,650 for all eight days. One-day tickets are available for Sunday only and cost DKK 750.
