Copenhagen Cooking 2007
On August 24 - September 2 Copenhagen celebrates Nordic food and gastronomy, when the public food festival Copenhagen Cooking runs for the third time. Experience the taste of Copenhagen in the city streets as well as in the Michelin starred restaurants.
The purpose of Copenhagen Cooking is mainly to celebrate food and gastronomy of high quality from the Nordic Region - but naturally there will also be room for food from all around the globe. Copenhagen Cooking is a public festival across the city of Copenhagen, where people will be able to attend a wide range of activities from free samples of food in public spaces, to more exclusive events at the top gourmet restaurants, of which many are Michelin starred.
Taste of Copenhagen
A very popular and reoccurring concept is called Taste Of Copenhagen, where people are invited to the top restaurants at a very reduced price during a short period of the festival. There will also be a large expo called eat07 at Øksnehallen. Small suppliers/farmers of delicate ingredients displays theirs produce for everyone to taste. Tivoli also has their food festival activities during Copenhagen Cooking. Apart from this there will be a chance to taste the real Danish open sandwich (called smorgasbord), enjoy a farmers brunch with a complimentary visit to a traditional Danish farm afterwards. The festival is at the moment in its planning stage, so many other activities will be scheduled the following months. In July there will be updated information on the website www.copenhagencooking.com
