Time Zone

Denmark follows Central European Time (CET) which is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST).

From the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October, the country has Daylight Saving Time, meaning that the clocks are turned one hour forward.

Danes use the 24-hour clock system and write the day before the month, for example 12 May 2012 will be written 12.05.2012.
