Climate-friendly transport

Copenhagen is world famous for the many bicyclists, and with good reason. Bikes are by far the fastest way to get around – and they do not emit any CO2. If you do not dare to jump on one yourself, there are other ways to travel climate-friendly.

 

The new CityCirkel buses take you to all the major city sights, and it runs on batteries that are charged by night. This way emitting less CO2 than cars and ordinary buses.

The metro is another alternative. Although not CO2 neutral, the Copenhagen Metro is still more climate friendly than cars and taxis.

Rent a bike in Copenhagen and help fight poverty.

"Baisikeli" is swahili for "bicycle", but it is also the name of the little sustainable bike rental shop in Turesensgade in Copenhagen.

Rent an electric car and cruise through the city.

Inner city sightseeing bus, which departs for Copenhagen's top attractions every seven minutes.

The electric driven CityCirkel bus omits less CO2 than cars and ordinary buses, and there is no pollution from exhaust fumes or hazardous particles. Tickets cost the same as on ordinary public buses.

Jump on the latest Segway-model and glide smoothly and silently through the streets of Copenhagen at 22 km/h.
