Café Toldboden

Café Toldboden can be found between Esplanaden and Amalienborg Palace, and is where many staff from the the surrounding shipping companies have their lunch.

The cuisine is traditional Danish offering smørrebrød - open sandwiches - and lunch dishes. Most are made from scratch , for example beetroot and cucumber salad, and the house specialities can definitely be recommended - blood sausage, hash, veal liver or pork with apple.

The interior takes you back to bygone days with many paintings and photographs giving Toldboden its very own atmosphere.
