There’s a new pretty unique hotel space in town

The Krane hotel, spa and meeting facility in CopenhagenThere’s a lot happening in Copenhagen’s once so gritty, industrial harbour area, Nordhavn. A clear trace that cool is moving in, is the transformation of this old school beauty from cargo crane to hotel, spa and meeting facility. Who wouldn’t want to spend a night up on top of The Krane? I would for sure! Photo: Simon Vinzent / Arcgency

Two new takes on smørrebrød

Smørrebrød in Copenhagen, Aamann's 1921 | VisitCopenhagenI’m not sure if Copenhagen’s smørrebrød scene has ever been dead, but it feels like there’s currently a new wave of this traditional delicacy flushing in over the city. Selma in WestMarket is fairly new and packs a serious punch when it comes to new, innovative combinations. Another smørrebrød heavyweight champion is Adam Aammann who just opened the doors to his much-awaited fourth restaurant, Aamann's 1921. PR photo, Aamann's

Two artists join forces at Nikolaj Kunsthal

The Ship at Nikolaj Kunsthal in Copenhagen | VisitCopennhagen After treating your tastebuds to some smørrebrød, why not venture around the corner to give your other senses something to chew on. Musician Oh Land and her husband artist, Eske Kath recently joined their creative forces to create the installation The Ship in one of my absolute favourite exhibition spaces in Copenhagen: Nikolaj Kunsthal. The exhibition runs until January and works well for both kids and adults. Photo: P.

A local hot dog legend

John's Hot Dog Deli | VisitCopenhagenJohn is nothing but a true hot dog legend, and basically, everything cool about Vesterbro converges in his Hot Dog Deli. I love the perfect mix of the authentic Vesterbro vibe, the modern hipnes and innovative and quality-focused take on the beloved fast food that meets you in his charming Meatpacking District joint.
