Boat and kayak hire

Sailing a kayak is a favourite sport, in which Danes have excelled in international competitions. But there is always room for beginners.

Either you can try a one-man kayak or you can rent a small rowing boat to sail about in the canals or in one of the surrounding lakes.

Starting from Strandgade 49   by Wilders Plads you can go for a tour of the canals of Copenhagen with professional instructor Kajak Ole. Via headphones you are in constant contact and can paddle along on your own or by twos for more stability and mutual conversation.

The kayaks are unsinkable and even amateurs quickly get the hang of it. A mid-way stop is included for refreshments and a rest. You can book tours of 1,5, two or three hours. No special beforehand training is necessary to participate. Only common sense, sensible behaviour, and open mind and respect for the elements. There is, however, a minimum age requirement of 15 years.
