A.C.Perchs thehandelWhen your feet are cold and blood sugar completely low, there is nothing better than a good cup of tea and something sweet. Here are some tea rooms in Copenhagen where you can regain strength and heat over a cup of tea.

A.C. Perch's Tea Room

A.C. Perch is Denmark's oldest tea shop from 1835. Perch's Tea Room is located above the old, traditional tea shop in central Copenhagen. Here you can choose from more than 150 different teas - from green to oolong to white and homemade mixes.

To go with your tea, you can order among other things classic scones with clotted cream and jam or a piece of cake. If you are not into warm drinks, the tea room also offers tea smoothies and ice tea.

Tante T, teTante T

Armchairs, sofas and small tea tables. When you visit Tante T in the district of Vesterbro, it is like stepping into grandmother's living room - many years ago. You can choose from nearly 100 kinds of tea in all types and colours.

Besides tea, there is an impressive assortment of home baked cakes, pies, muffins and lots of biscuits, baked in the small kitchen behind the tea room, where the owner Mette Marie and her mother are cooking.

Tante T also has a small take away tea shop in Copenhagen's Meatpacking District, Kødbyen .

Tesalon - Thé a la MentheThe á la Menthe

The á la Menthe in Copenhagen city centre is the place to seek shelter if you want off the streets and need to relax. The basement tea room is kept in cool pastel colours with Moroccan delicacies, sweet mint tea and seating along a wall covered with blankets and pillows.

Here you can relax, smoking a pipe of apple tobacco. The mint tea tastes at once refreshing and very sweet - a good stimulant in the middle of a shopping spree.

Tea Time, bordTea Time

Tea Time in the district of Nørrebro is a true Victorian, pink haven for all girls. Maria Jessen Petersen, who owns the small tea room, is a decorator and has been inspired by the English tradition and love of tea.

Here you can imagine yourself as taking part in an authentic 18th century English tea party with fine cups, silver spoons, cucumber sandwiches, scones, cup cakes and other cakes on silver plates.

Taste

In the heart of Copenhagen, near the Marble Church, Taste has combined the art of French pastry with a tea room and an organic deli.

Here you can enjoy cakes and other sweets, such as Madeleines, Sablés and Florentines, made by Frenchman Bernard Berthier. In the tea room, which is decorated with black leather chairs, you can enjoy tea from A.C. Perch's.

Sing tehus, interiørSing Tehus

Sing Tehus in central Copenhagen is strongly inspired by Japanese tea culture. In the tea room, you can sit, as they do in Japan during tea ceremonies, or you can sit in Western cafe chairs.

The choice is yours, and you can choose from many different kinds of tea and lunch dishes from the deli Taste.
